ABOUT KAREN MEDICAL COLLEGE

               Founded in 2023, Karen Medical College (KMC) is a pioneering non-profit institution and the first ethnic medical college in Myanmar. As the sole provider of a Physician Assistant program in the border regions, KMC offers unparalleled opportunities for students from diverse ethnic backgrounds to make a lasting impact in underserved and remote communities.
              KMC is committed to fostering the next generation of skilled and compassionate healthcare professionals. Our mission is to deliver exceptional medical education that prepares graduates to address healthcare disparities, improve the well-being of marginalized populations, and bring quality healthcare to areas most in need.
              Established through the unified efforts of Karen ethnic health departments, KMC , located in Shwe Koke Ko Myaing, Myawaddy Township, the college serves as a center for excellence in medical education and community-oriented healthcare innovation.
              Our flagship program, the Physician Assistant Training Program, is a comprehensive five-year curriculum designed to equip students with the expertise and commitment necessary to deliver critical healthcare services in resource-limited settings. Graduates of this program emerge as highly capable professionals dedicated to making a meaningful difference in their communities.
