Midwifery Program

About us

The Midwifery Diploma Program at Karen Medical College is a two-year training program designed to develop skilled, compassionate, and community-oriented midwives. The program combines theoretical learning with hands-on clinical experience to ensure graduates are well-prepared for real-world healthcare settings.Students are trained in essential areas including antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and newborn care through classroom instruction, skills laboratory practice, and supervised clinical placements.In addition to clinical competencies, the program emphasizes professional ethics, community engagement, leadership, and teamwork. Graduates are equipped to provide quality maternal and newborn healthcare services, particularly in remote and underserved communities, contributing to improved health outcomes.

Program Overview

The Midwifery Diploma Program at Karen Medical College was first launched in June 2024. The initial cohort of 20 students has successfully completed the program, gaining essential knowledge and practical skills in midwifery care.

New Intake Announcement

Applications are now open for the 2026–2027 Academic Year, Batch (2).
