Physician Assistant
The five-year Physician Assistant (PA) Program is designed to train competent and dedicated healthcare professionals equipped with both strong theoretical knowledge and extensive hands-on clinical experience. Students develop essential medical skills through classroom learning, practical training, and supervised clinical placements across various healthcare settings.
The program aims to prepare graduates to deliver primary healthcare services, particularly in communities where medical services are limited or unavailable. Emphasis is placed on patient-centered care, professionalism, and teamwork.
Graduates are well-prepared to help address healthcare gaps and contribute to achieving universal health coverage by improving access to quality medical care in underserved areas.
Midwifery Program
Launched in June 2024, the two-year Midwifery Program at Karen Medical College prepares skilled and compassionate midwives to improve maternal and newborn health. The curriculum combines theoretical learning with practical training in skills laboratories and supervised clinical practice. Students gain essential competencies in antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and newborn care. The program also emphasizes community engagement, professional ethics, leadership, and teamwork. Graduates are equipped to deliver quality maternal and newborn health services, particularly in remote and underserved communities, where access to skilled care is limited and the need for trained midwives is greatest.
